Test Render in 3DS Max

It took 7 hours to render just one 3D still image scene. Can't imagine how long it'll take to render a whole animation. Looks like our aim to go for full HD animation might have to be abandoned. Actually, it's still too early to conclude anything. Afterall, we will be getting new machines this month. Or next month. Or next next month... We pray hard. As for now, we have completed modelling of two houses, rumah Tok Ku Paloh and rumah tele and the latter has been fully textured and rendered. To produce this, we had to push our staff until he almost snapped his spinal cord and we thrown away our kitty. The result..,

There're still some flaws to our eyes in this visualization but to achieve perfection means our staff has to be amputated (legs only) and we have to kill a cat. A tip for company management, if you have a really good staff keep him even with sadistic measures. No, really. our staff literally befriends 3D Max for this and his works in modelling deserve an applause. We appreciate comments from readers on what to improve upon this first test render of these 3D visualization images. On the technical side, we started by drawing some random lines in Adobe Illustrator (who needs Autocad?) to produce the plans and elevation basing on our measured drawing and photograph scaling. All the magic after that are done using 3D Max with V-Ray, no other fancy plug-ins were used. See more images below;

Reduce most colours, add some drama

Texturing exercise. Use stairs

Those things looks like concrete were actually carved stone blocks, back in those days

Not a single tree was harmed during the construction

Ok, where's the satellite dish?

Wood carving panels are still missing

Oh, here they are
